It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since my last recap on venues. As the summer season has come to a close and the Autumn leaves have fallen, I find myself reflecting on the venues that have become the canvas for some of the most beautiful love stories I’ve had the privilege to capture. Today, I’m excited to share my most frequented wedding venues in Cambridgeshire. I hope they kick start some inspiration ready for the new year!
1. Wedding venues in Cambridgeshire, Bassmead Manor Barn

First on my list of wedding venues in Cambridgeshire, is Bassmead Manor Barn. Nestled in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, is a dreamy escape that seamlessly blends rustic charm with timeless elegance. The 300-year-old Rickety Barn steals the show with its weathered beams and cosy candles, providing the perfect backdrop for those candid moments that make your wedding day uniquely yours. The gardens surrounding the barn are a photographer’s playground so of course I love it. Offering endless possibilities for portraits and group shots. What I love most about Bassmead is its versatility for photos. It’s pretty hard not to get great shots here. Plus all my couples who have booked here have been INCREDIBLE humans.
2. The Old Hall Ely

The Old Hall Ely, a magnificent estate steeped in history. The timeless architecture and manicured gardens create a regal atmosphere that is nothing short of magical. The stunning views of Ely Cathedral provide a gorgeous backdrop for photos. As a wedding photographer, I find inspiration in every nook and cranny of The Old Hall Ely and since they have added more indoor space for ceremonies it’s even better. It’s a venue that not only tells a story but allows me to craft a visual narrative too, so I can tell your story. I shot a great rainy day wedding here, proving that the weather won’t make a difference to the day. It was still perfect.
3. The Granary Estates

If rustic elegance is what you crave, The Granary Estates is the epitome of countryside charm. This venue boasts not one but two distinct settings – the charming Flint Barn and the contemporary Granary Barn. The juxtaposition of old-world charm and modern sophistication offers a dynamic canvas for capturing all that unfold on your wedding day. The vast open spaces and idyllic landscapes provide a stunning backdrop for photos. Oh and the tree swing is still a vibe. The Granary Estates has plenty of space for all your guests to party and Ive been back so many Tims this year it kinda feels like home.
Choosing the perfect wedding venue in Cambridgeshire is a crucial step in wedding planning, I mean we can’t do much with out a venue. I hope this has helped give you some inspiration. Each of these venues holds a special place in my heart, not just for their physical beauty, but for the countless memories they’ve helped create. I’ll link them all below so you can take a look.
