I believe an accomplished image should stir an emotional response in the viewer and this is what I strive for in my photography. The squeeze of your hand before dad walks you down the aisle, your grandparents watching you dance with tears in their eyes, or a knowing look between you both that no-one else sees. I primarily draw inspiration from my subject, however there will always be influences from my travels, fashion and art.
Your journey with me is as important as the final gallery. I will work with you and stand by you every step of the way, providing advice and support when you need it, from the very first email until the moves are well and truly busted on the dance floor.
I offer a pre wedding shoot as a way to get know each other better. It’s also a chance to figure out what on earth to do with your hands, so come wedding day you can relax knowing you have already done this before and you’re already a pro. This helps to give a strong foundation to build on come wedding day. I want to walk in on the morning of your wedding feeling like old friends.
On the day itself, my approach is laid back and unobtrusive. I am 90% focused on capturing candid belly laughs and happy tears. The other 10% on iconic portraits that look like they belong in Vogue. I aim to infuse my love for keeping it natural, with your love for each other, so your personalities shine through in the images. I want you to have fun. I want you to embrace the day, most importantly be present with each other and your guests. Ignoring me is the best gift you could give me, I’m used to it and I love it!
I typically attract couples looking for those natural in the moment images where you are laughing at how you pulled it all together and iconic portraits that look like your Pinterest board. People who love art, travel, books, long walks, great films, cheese and wine. I get to know my couples before the wedding and find I often have something in common with my clients.
I have been a professional third wheel for 10 years and I love my job way more than I ever thought possible.
