Tipi Wedding- Whatton House Gardens

 

Whatton House gardens is such a great venue for a Tipi Wedding. Tucked away in the heart of Leicestershire and surrounded by 15 acres of greenery it’s a perfect venue for a chilled out wedding. Beth and Jordan have the most incredible day, and little old me got to enjoy every second with them. Nothing like third wheeling for a living.

The Tipi wedding Ceremony:

What we wanted, and to be honest, what we planned, was a sun-kissed day, a gentle breeze rustling through the trees, and a whimsical tipi serving as the backdrop for Beth and Jordan’s vows. What we got was rain. RAIN! The week running up to the wedding was a freak heat wave but Mother Nature decided that on the wedding day, we all deserved to get soaked.  Well luckily, it didn’t last all day. Beth and Jordan didn’t opt for the traditional church ceremony; instead, they brought the cozy vibes of their own little sanctuary right to Whatton House Gardens. The atmosphere was so laid-back, a bit of rain was never going to stop them.

Lawn Games and Good Times!

Whoever said weddings had to be all formal and serious clearly hadn’t met Beth and Jordan. They transformed the garden into a giant playground for guests of all ages. Giant Jenga, hoopla, the swing and an epic showdown on space hopers had everyone laughing. Oh and then there was the booze bath.Yes, you read that right. Instead of a boring old bar, Beth and Jordan had an actual bathtub filled with ice-cold beer.  My heroes.

Singing Waiters

As if the day couldn’t get any more entertaining, Beth and Jordan threw in a curveball: singing waiters! No one else knew, and, as always, singers had every single guest up out of their seats singing and dancing.  And if that wasn’t enough, they also had one of my favourite performers Cat on Sax, an epic Saxophonist. She played some chilled Ibiza classics and some modern floor fillers. With the guests well and truly hyped, the party had started. I nearly forgot to mention the Bongos.  Yep we literally had everything you could ever need for a packed dance floor. By now everyone knows I love a dance floor and more importantly I love a packed one.

Let’s Get This Party Started!

After all the love, laughter, and amazing surprises, it was time to kick off the dance party of the century! The bride, groom, and their guests, tore up the dance floor like there was no tomorrow. The groom even had a dance off with his brother to Outkast’s ‘HEY YA’. I’m pretty sure they could’ve danced all night if the sun hadn’t decided to make a reappearance.

As their photographer, I can honestly say that capturing these moments was an absolute blast, and I wish Beth and Jordan a lifetime of love, laughter, and more epic dance parties. Cheers to love, life, and Whatton House Gardens!
