Spoiler alert: This New Year’s Eve wedding was a riot!
New Year’s Eve Wedding-Bridal Preparations
The bridal suite at the William Cecil was one of the calmest mornings of the year. After the excitement of Christmas, and trying to plan a wedding, I was expecting to walk into chaos. However I was pleasantly surprised. Not a hint of stress or drama. The bride, her bridesmaids and her mum were in full glam mode. Matching Pjs, Prosecco and even time for a salad for lunch. The black bridesmaids dresses hanging up looked incredible. First time photographing all black bridesmaid dresses. A Long-sleeved stunner of a dress for the bride, sparkly shoes, and flowers from Stephanie’s Florist were the complete New Years Eve wedding attire.
The ceremony at St. George’s was dreamy. Confetti exit and we totally blocked the road, I take full responsibility. The bride, a professional dog walker, had her furry clients lined up outside the church like the paparazzi, all waiting to catch a glimpse of her.
Cue the wet and windy stroll back to The William Cecil. We stopped traffic again, for a quick snap in the middle of the road, because, why the heck not? Chaos, wind in the hair, and a killer pic – check, check, and check!

Reception in Black and Gold
The reception room was all black and gold styled by Allensis https://allensisweddings.co.uk/table-centres-linen-vintage-crockery/, giving off vibes that screamed sophistication meets new year party animal. Speeches were hilarious (thanks Dad) and there were plenty of tears. I have a love for all things that make guests emotional. The photos are always great.
The groom’s heritage got a shout-out, you know it’s a going to be a good party when there’s plate smashing after the first dance. Greek tradition, they said. It felt like we were in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and it was a smashing success. Pun totally intended. From start to finish, it was a vibe. The energy was contagious, and the party spirit was off the charts. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was a full-blown extravaganza. Shots, laughter, and dance moves. My favourite.

I can’t put into words what a party this wedding was. You’re gonna have to trust me. New years Eve weddings are special.
