Alright, folks, buckle up and get ready for a wedding tale that’ll have you swooning and laughing in equal measure. We’re diving headfirst into Jade and Daniel’s incredible Harlaxton Manor wedding. This was no ordinary affair; it was an epic celebration that flawlessly combined elegance, quirkiness, and all-around good vibes. Get ready to be wowed!
Harlaxton Manor Wedding
Let’s start with Jade, the bride extraordinaire. She stuck to most bridal traditions but kicked a few to the curb, strutting her stuff in a jaw-dropping wedding gown paired with none other than Jimmy Choo shoes. Oh, but here’s the plot twist: in the evening, hidden beneath that gorgeous dress were her trusty wedding Crocs! That’s right, folks—Jade proved that comfort and style can go hand in hand. Who says you can’t dance the night away in comfy footwear?
Now, onto the main event—the ceremony in the majestic hall of Harlaxton Manor. Imagine walking into a fairytale wonderland, with green and white flowers adorning every nook and cranny. It was like stepping into a dreamy floral paradise. As Jade and Daniel exchanged their heartfelt vows, you could practically feel the love in the air. The ceremony was so enchanting all the nervousness disappeared the moment they stood hand in hand.
But wait, there’s more!
After the “I do’s,” it was time to let loose with confetti. The guests lined up ready to welcome the newly weds with a shower of real flower petals. I must admit the guests were very well behaved, sometimes this can take ages to organise.
On to the conservatory. Picture this: a room filled to the brim with lush green plants, creating a jungle-like oasis. It was like attending a wedding and a tropical getaway all in one. The soft, natural light streaming through the leaves cast a dreamy glow over the photos. We had a few portraits and group shots in here because…well it was just beautiful.
And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance
A visit from their Dachshund. Their adorable dog Lottie, (who I am sure is insta famous by the way), turned up suited and booted with a pearl encrusted collar and lead. Truly stealing the limelight, and rightly so. The photos with here are some of my favourite ever taken. Not because they are technically perfect, but because they sum up the amount of love they have as a little family.
Oh and I can’t forget the wedding cake. Harlaxton Manor have this magnificent hall that has painted ceilings and walls adorned with gold. A perfect spot where the cake could sit centre stage. Not hidden in a dark corner. This wasn’t just any cake; it was a showstopper! Adorned with shimmering gold leaf, it was a sweet masterpiece fit for royalty. Cutting into that work of art was like slicing into pure happiness. The cake not only looked divine but tasted like a slice of heaven too.
What made this wedding truly timeless was the seamless blend of elegance and fun. From Jade’s fancy Crocs to the modern twist on classic elements, it was a celebration that danced to its own beat. Harlaxton Manor set the stage for a wedding extravaganza that will be talked about for ages.

I asked Jade and Daniel to share some of their thoughts on their Wedding at Harlaxton Manor.
What made you chose Harlaxton Manor for your wedding venue?
I didn’t know where to start when looking for wedding venues. A friend told me about an website called Bridebook that has lists of all wedding suppliers. We found the venue on here and fell in love with it straight away. Then we arranged a meeting and a walk around the venue and we booked it there and then! I was so lucky to book a date for the first and only venue we viewed.
What was the highlight of your day/ favourite moment?
It’s so hard to choose a favourite moment as the whole day was so special with so many beautiful moments I’ll always cherish. I was incredibly nervous the whole morning but when I saw Dan waiting for me at the end of the aisle, it completely disappeared and it was the calmest and most content I’d felt for days so this is probably the part that’s up there for me.
Did you have a colour scheme, theme or idea on styling that you wanted to achieve?
Our colour scheme was green and white. Because the venue was very ornate, with so much beautiful detail, I wanted to keep the colour scheme very simple and opted for white flowers and foliage, and continued the green the light the bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen outfits and addition decor. Our cake was plain white with some gold leaf to match the venue. And white flowers that the florist supplied.
Any advice for future couples planning their Harlaxton Manor wedding?
Everything always works out on the day! I spent a lot of time stressing over details and trying to make sure every guest would be incredibly happy and catered for. We had a wonderful team at the venue who really catered for us and made sure all the details were taken care of, including guests. If you have a venue that communicates well, I can almost guarantee things will work out and the stress isn’t always necessary.
The second thing I would give advice on is go with what you and your partner want for your day… always. As hard as it can be, try not to be influenced by anyone else. It’s your day, to enjoy with your loved ones. If you want a black and green wedding cake, a bright red wedding dress with purple spots and garden weeds for your boquet… absolutely go for it. You will not regret it.
Would you do anything differently?
Other than worry less …. absolutely nothing. The day was incredible.
