Festival wedding with rainbow colours

This festival wedding was always going to be a joyful celebration of life and love. Claire, the bride, is also known as Rainbow. How cool is that! From the gold lightening bolt shoes to the neon menus. The white sofa in a field to the drum and bass rave. This is a wedding to remember.

Humanist Ceremony

The wedding had festival vibes, with a nod to their shared love of music and Claire’s history being part of a band. I told you she was cool! The bride walked down the aisle to ‘She’s a rainbow’ by The Rolling Stones.  They had a humanist led ceremony with the lovely Zena Birch. Equally important are their vows. These had influences from their favourite bands, The Beatles and Kings of Leon. Friends played a huge part in their ceremony, with personalised readings and a song written and performed by their best friend. No confetti, however there were plenty of bubbles floating on the summer breeze as they walked back down the aisle, to ‘She’s a waterfall’ by The Stone Roses. A perfect choice to reference their new new married name, Waterfall-Allen.

Rainbow colours

The bridesmaids picked their own vibrant colour dresses in their individual styles. The welcome signs, table numbers and decorations were all hand painted in the most amazing neon yellow.The family all chipped in to help paint and organise decorations.   Every detail was made with love and perfectly showcased their style and theme. In addition, the flowers, as vibrant as the bridesmaids dresses, also mirrored on the wedding cake.

The children gave a stunning performance with inflatable instruments and a microphone. Then the adults danced the night away with music from Kate Lowhan and the collective. I have never seen a dance floor as lively. People singing and dancing like their life depended on it. However, this was not the end. The party continued long into the night. It actually ended with a drum and bass rave with their friend DJing. If you’re going to do a festival wedding then you may as well finish on a high!

What was the highlight of the wedding?

“Having the speeches outside whilst drinking cocktails and listening to the baaing of the sheep in the background was one of my highlights. Then my Dad brought me to tears as he relayed stories of my childhood. Also my friends made the crowd roar with hysterics over precisely unknown antics.

How did you create the festival vibe?

‘We created a festival vibe by creating some outdoor seating, flower hoop backdrop, photo backdrop and lighting with a neon sign of our name”
