Nestled away, behind a row of weeping willows and fir trees, lies a brand-new Lincolnshire wedding venue, Crown Hall Farm.
Although new to the wedding venue scene, the owners have 20 years’ experience in the events industry. These guys know what they are doing, lots of extras to make your day as epic as you are. With a couple of local wedding venues recently shutting their doors for good, this is a welcome sight. As a Peterborough wedding photographer based 10 minutes away in Bourne, I was excited to see this venue. More importantly I was excited to photograph a wedding here!
I planned a shoot with the aim of showcasing what the Lincolnshire venue has to offer. Which is a lot! To start with you can book the entire venue exclusively for the day, no sharing with anyone. I have photographed a few weddings where my clients have booked a venue and had to share with another couple. Of course, there is nothing wrong with this, but it can get confusing as to who’s guests belong to whom. Imagine sitting down for the wedding breakfast with the wrong guests!
What do they offer?
Crown Hall Farm also has extensive gardens that swoop around a central lake. If you fancy saying “I Do” with the lake in the background, then you can make use of the beautiful Ceremony Boat House. Your guests will thank you …it’s stunning. The rustic bridge is a nice little addition for photos too.
If you are worried about an outside wedding with the dubious and unforgiving British weather, then the temperature-controlled, luxury marquee is there to save you. Let’s face it, we don’t always get the best of weather, but come rain or shine you are pretty much sorted at Crown Hall Farm.
If that wasn’t enough there is a 20ft Cocktail bar made from a boat… I am just wondering if I should have opened with that!

What is is like for wedding photography?
Back to the shoot. I assembled an awesome team of local wedding suppliers from Spalding, Peterborough and Rutland. All ready to serve the latest in wedding trends. Think boho bride with laidback festival undertones. I am a Peterborough based wedding Photographer most of the time, so I had crossed paths with the suppliers before.

I knew we would make it an amazing day.
Everything fitted the brief and because of that we got some stunning images. The sun was shining, my skin was turning a brighter shade of pink and a selection of dresses were being twirled about on the decking of the boat house. A rather good way to spend a Sunday morning if you ask me.
For wedding Photography it is prefect, mainly because there are lots of areas for you to utilise for your benefit. But also the location. Pinchbeck is easy to get to from Spalding, Bourne, Stamford and Peterborough.

I love being a wedding photographer, so this was a great way to come back after a long year of isolation.

I’m excited for future couples planning their wedding at Crown Hall Farm and even more excited for the ones I will be photographing there!
