Ibza wedding reception…oh go on then! So Party, people the big question here is, how do you celebrate your wedding to reflect how you met in Ibiza? Throw an epic party, reminiscent of the time you spent on the island of course! We are talking full on summer holiday vibes.
Neon glow sticks lighting up the dance floor like a 90s rave, personalised sunglasses in more neon shades than you can count, and a DJ who knew exactly how to keep the crowd moving. Yep, that’s right – Amber and Marc didn’t just want a wedding reception; they wanted a full-blown rave, and let me tell you, they delivered!
What makes an Ibiza wedding reception?
THE ENERGY LEVELS FOR SURE. The energy was electric, the music was pumping, and the dance floor was calling their name. It was like stepping into one of Ibiza’s legendary clubs, minus the hefty cover charge and questionable drink prices. Sometimes a dance floor can remain unused and empty, pretty disappointing for a photographer. I need people to photograph, so a packed dance floor is the best place for some candid action. This dance floor was full all night.

Let’s talk about those glow sticks. Everywhere you looked, there were neon tubes of light waving in the air like glow-in-the-dark cheerleaders. It was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement, and before long, even the most reluctant dancers were shaking their stuff like there was no tomorrow. Seeing the bride’s nan dancing with a glow stick in hand, to “Freed from Desire”, was an absolute highlight. Legend.
But the real MVP of the night? The DJ. This guy had a knack for reading the crowd and playing all the Ibiza classics that had everyone feeling like they were back on the island, sipping cocktails and watching the sunset. From house anthems to trance bangers, he had it all, and the dance floor was never empty.
And just when we thought things couldn’t get any crazier, in strolled a saxophone player, ready to take the party to the next level. His tunes combined with the pulsating beats had us all feeling like we were living in a music video. Ok that may have just been me, but I was defiantly into it, and may have been dancing by this point. Ok I was defiantly dancing, perks of the job right?

As I snapped away, capturing every hilarious dance move. Some more so than others. Gromsmen I’m totally looking at you here. I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer brilliance of Amber and Marc’s vision. Who says weddings have to be all about ‘Build me up buttercup’ and Abba’s ‘Dancing queen’. These two proved that you can say “I do” and still throw the party of a lifetime.
So here’s to Amber and Marc – may your love be as wild and untamed as this epic dance floor, and may your future be filled with countless more nights that feel like a never-ending party in Ibiza. Thanks for inviting me along for the ride, and remember – life’s too short not to dance like nobody’s watching!
