As a seasoned wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of working at some absolutely stunning local wedding venues that never fail to leave me in awe. Today, I’m here to spill the beans on my all-time favorite places to capture those special “I do” moments. Harlaxton Manor: Where Dreams Come True
First up on my list of local wedding venues is the one and only Harlaxton Manor in Grantham, a true fairytale setting nestled in the heart of the English countryside. With its towering turrets and breathtaking gardens, this majestic venue sets the stage for romance like no other. Trust me, folks, it’s impossible to take a bad photo here – every shot radiates elegance and grandeur. From the main hall to the grounds, Harlaxton Manor has an abundance of picture-perfect spots that will make your wedding album the envy of all your friends!

Holmewood Hall: Love at First Sight

Prepare to fall head over heels for Holmewood Hall, a hidden gem that oozes charm and sophistication. This exquisite Georgian-style mansion boasts opulent interiors, including a breathtaking ceremony room that will leave your guests speechless. And let’s not forget about the sweeping staircase, perfect for that dramatic entrance. With its meticulously manicured gardens and a touch of old-world glamour, Holmewood Hall is a photographer’s playground, offering endless opportunities to capture your love story. This is on of my most frequent local wedding venues. I know the team really well,  they run a tight ship and make sure your day goes to plan.

Bassmead Manor Barns: Rustic Romance

Calling all rustic-chic enthusiasts! Bassmead Manor Barns is where you’ll find the perfect blend of charm and elegance. Tucked away in the rolling countryside, this converted barn venue boasts stunning timber beams and a cozy, intimate atmosphere that will make your heart skip a beat. The idyllic courtyard and picturesque gardens offer a plethora of backdrops, from colorful blooms to rustic barn doors. Whether you’re exchanging vows in the Rickety Barn or dancing the night away in the Bridge Barn, every corner of Bassmead Manor Barns exudes warmth and rustic romance. Oh and the bridal prep area is perfect for getting ready it has everything you could possibly need. Abundance of plug sockets for a start!

Crown Hall Farm: A Serene Haven
Looking for a local wedding venue with lakeside view? Look no further than Crown Hall Farm in Pinchbck. Nestled amidst lush greenery and gently swaying fields, this hidden treasure offers a tranquil and idyllic setting for your big day. Imagine exchanging vows under a rustic boat house with the lake glistening in the background. Outdoor ceremonies are beautiful here, and if t rains the purpose built marquee is perfect for ceremonies.  The Bridal suite is designed for all the wedding day preparations and it finished to an exceptionally high standard. Every element of Crown Hall Farm exudes a laid-back charm that will put you at ease. It’s the kind of place that inspires pure happiness, and as a photographer, I couldn’t ask for more!

The Old Hall Ely: Timeless Elegance

Last but certainly not least, we have The Old Hall Ely – a venue that truly stands the test of time. With its breathtaking gardens, charming gazebo, and magnificent views of Ely Cathedral, this historic estate is a photographer’s dream. Every nook and cranny of The Old Hall Ely tells a story, from the beautiful bridal suite to the newly finished Orangery. At sunset this venue comes in to its own with spectacular opportunities for photos.  Trust me, folks, this venue is a one-way ticket to capturing timeless elegant photos.
