Why you should print your photos, ummmmm …Because they are awesome!  Ok ,so this may need a bit more information, but it’s a great place to start. The wedding has been and gone. You had the best day of your life. You have waited patiently for for your photographer to delivery your online gallery. The photos are epic, they made you laugh and cry.  A couple get shared on social media. That’s it. Well I’m here to tell you why that can’t be it. Why you should print your photos.

You are a work of art

Yes you. If you have spent months planning and styling the day of your dreams , the chances are you may have put some effort in to looking pretty hot yourself. You will have looked the best you have ever looked with real smiles and real emotions. You would have looked like a work of art. Where do we hang works of art? On the wall.

Framed prints, canvases and wall art, with your wedding photos, will make sure that you relive the happiest day of your life every time you walk past.

When people come to your house they will be able to see your photos and guess what, you will get to enjoy conversations about the wedding one more time. Your wedding photographer will be able to offer you post wedding printing options. I would always recommend your wedding photographer does this for you. Cheaper prints will not do your photos any justice.

Why you should print your photos…The Test of Time

Another reason why you should print your photos is safety. Keeping your photos stored on a usb or a hard drive may seem like a sensible safe option. But what happens if it’s damaged, corrupted or lost? What if the technology goes out of date? I remember when wedding photos were supplied on discs, like CDs. Remember we all used to have a disc drive on our laptops? We all used to buy our music on CDs. Well it the same for our photos. Technology is always changing. Don’t let outdated hardware or software be the reason you don’t have any wedding photos to show the grandkids.

Why you should print your photos…The Wedding Album

So these have come on leaps and bounds since your parents got married. I’m talking statement photo books, high quality paper, linen bound, lay flat spines, embossed with gold foil and all wrapped up in a bespoke gift box. I could spend hours looking at these. I love them. A high end luxury album worthy of your beautiful wedding photos.  A physical object you can hold and feel. They even smell nice (that’s weird but true). The heirloom that will get passed down for generations to come. If you invest thousands of pounds on the day of your dreams, please invest in a statement album to treasure for years to come.

The Coffee Table Album

The smaller version of your deluxe wedding album that you have out all the time on a coffee table. These are designed for visitors to pick up and flick through. Conversation starters. They are also great gifts for parents as a thank you. A gorgeous way of sharing your photos with loved ones. Way better than keeping the photos on an online link.

As a final thought on this, your wedding photos are worth so much more than a usb stick or an online link. These are both amazing options and I still think you should have them. However, printing your photos is the jackpot. Go print your photos!

What do other wedding Photographers say?

Documentary wedding photographer Adrian Dewey has been producing wedding albums for his clients for 15 years.

“Its important to photographers that you get a high quality wedding album that showcases the work your photographer has put in. Your wedding photographer does more than just print your album. They curate a selection of images that tell your story and present it to you, in something that will invoke feelings and memories that will last a life time. There is nothing worse that seeing a beautiful image printed on cheap, low quality paper, that is faed and curled. You invest a lot in your wedding photographer so why not invest in making sure the images get seen in beautiful albums or art work”
