I was lucky enough to be part of a ‘bright wedding flowers’ themed shoot at my local wedding venue, Crown Hall Farm. If you don’t know about this place then where have you been? This is their website if you need some venue inspiration https://www.crownhallfarm.co.uk/place-to-get-married
As I work all across the UK from Kent to Scotland, getting invited back to local venues is always good fun. Feels like home. So when I was approached by venue Stylist Laura, from the Reverie Event and Prop Hire, about a bright wedding flowers inspired shoot, I was delighted. Working with an event stylist and wedding planner will take all the stress out of your day. I highly recommend you at least have a look, just to see if it’s something you want to do. Having planned a lot of my own shoots walking into one already planned and styled was a dream. You can have a look at what Laura can offer here https://thereverieevents.co.uk/

Bright wedding flowers
I had an idea on what bright wedding flowers would be as a theme, but nothing could have prepared me for the amount of flowers on display for this shoot. We had so many. Tanya the highly talented florist based in Stamford, had created the most amazing floral arrangement in the boot of a 1950 Buick. I’ve seen some pretty cool things at weddings, but this was a new one for me. The bright pink floral arrangement was perfect against the blue of the car.
“The flowers were carefully selected to include blousy ruffles using only seasonal, UK sources where possible. Including Peonies, Hydrangeas and the added the height element by using dusty pink Delphiniums”.

Rainbow dress
Fabulous bridal in Bourne had another selection of stunning wedding dresses on loan to us. In particular was the rainbow coloured dress that was perfect for this bright wedding flowers shoot. The soft pastel colours really complimented the flowers. This gave the entire shoot a whole new level of gorgeousness. Fabulous Bridal are now stocking more alternative wedding dresses . The demand for less traditional dresses is on the rise. They are defiantly the people to talk to about new ideas. You can get in touch here https://www.fabulousbridal.co.uk/bridal-experience/

Bright coloured glass, tulle and linens.
Maybe we have Bridgerton to thank for the increase of bright floral arrangements, or maybe people just needed a bit more colour in their lives after such a dull an dreary couple of years (thanks Covid). Whatever it is I’m here for it. Once we had photographed the dresses and the flowers in the boot (never thought that would be something I would ever say), we headed inside for some dreamy portraits. The tablescape looked like an art installation. The coloured glass, bright florals and coloured tulle brought and extra layer of vibrancy to the room. A well designed table will be beautiful as well as functional. Adding in colour with chargers, runners, linens and bright florals, will tie in all your wedding details. Making your wedding venue décor a cohesive masterpiece.
