‘Peckforton wedding photographer’ is a great job to have in a portfolio.

Peckforton Castle wedding Photographer. Bride and groom reflection of castle.

Peckforton Castle is an ultimate wedding goal. The castle is set in rolling Cheshire countryside, with stunning grounds and an epic Ceremony Room. It’s not just a celebrity wedding venue (although it will have you feeling like a celebrity by the time you leave) it’s stepped in history. The castle looks like it fell straight out of the pages of a fairy-tale. No wonder its frequented by the cast of the real housewives of Cheshire. Peckforton castle wedding photographer is a dream job and I am  so please I photographed here.

A day in the life of a Peckforton Castle Wedding photographer

A little run down of what to expect if you are thinking of getting married here. Stacey and Lee, tied the knot in the Grand Hall surrounded by stained glass windows, vaulted ceiling and thousands of twinkling fairy lights.  The entire ceremony looked like a fairy tale. Ideal for wedding photos! Stacey got ready in the bridal suite surrounded with bridesmaids. Guests arrived and made their way inside for a pre wedding celebratory drink. From the moment I started shooting I knew this was going to be a good day.

With the ceremony finished we all made our way outside to the lawn where we took the group shots. This was followed by A drinks reception in the Long Hall . As a wedding photographer, this room provides a great opportunity to capture a few documentary style photos. Photos of guests laughing, hugs and celebratory drinks are some of my favourite moments.

The wedding breakfast was held in the Drawing Room where the man in red, also known as The Tall Toast Master https://www.instagram.com/thetalltoastmaster/ introduced the new Mr and Mrs to their awaiting guests.  The Drawing room was decorated with white florals giving me plenty of opportunity to take photos. After some emotional speeches and questionable jokes, the dancefloor was calling.

Evening celebrations were held in the Grand Hall where Stacey and Lee cut their cake with a Sword! Well why wouldn’t you? I snuck off to the balcony to get shots of the first dance, leaving the close up shots to the team below. I have written  a blog on the benefits of  having 2 photographers at a wedding, you can check that out here https://www.sarahcarterphotography.co.uk/1-or-2-photographers-for-a-wedding-is-it-better-to-have-2-photographers/

The wedding celebrations continued long into the night.  I made my way home, thinking as I drove, that I have the best job in the world.
